HOW IT WORKS
Credit card statements → due summary
- Upload a credit card statement PDF from the app, or connect Gmail to sync statements from the last 60 days.
- We parse due fields only — total amount due, minimum amount due, payment due date, and masked card last-four digits.
- View on Credit Cards — each statement appears as a card with due details, sorted latest first.
Minimal Finance is not an email client. Gmail access is used only for optional credit card statement detection.
No Gmail? Upload manually
You do not need Gmail. Upload a credit card statement PDF and the app extracts the same due-summary fields.

Why Minimal Finance requests Gmail access
When you tap Connect Gmail in Profile, the app requests read-only Gmail access
(https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly) to detect credit card statement PDF attachments
from the last 60 days and extract payment due information for your Credit Cards screen.
What we use Gmail for
- Search for credit card statement emails with PDF attachments (last 60 days).
- Download statement PDFs linked to your account only.
- Extract due-summary fields: total due, minimum due, due date, credit limit, card last-four.
- Display on the Credit Cards tab — no individual transaction import from Gmail.
What we do NOT do with Gmail
- We do not sync bank, investment, or insurance emails.
- We do not send, delete, or modify email.
- We do not read unrelated personal or non-financial mail.
- We do not sell data or use Gmail for advertising.
- We do not train generalized AI/ML models on Gmail content.

Your control
- Explicit consent on Google’s OAuth screen when you connect.
- Disconnect Gmail: Profile → Disconnect Gmail
- Delete sync data: Profile → Delete Gmail sync data
- Delete account removes all data from Profile.
Data retention
- Due-summary fields and statement metadata stored per your account.
- Statement PDFs stored securely for parse and preview.
- No general-purpose email archive.

Google API Services User Data Policy: Minimal Finance adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used solely for credit card due-summary reporting.
