Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Minimal Finance ("the App") is a personal finance application operated by
OneDashboard ("we," "our," or "us"), available at
https://www.onedashboard.in.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App
(Android package
com.onedashboard.minimal_finance and related web/API services).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
- Name, email address, phone number (if provided), and profile details you enter
- Google Sign-In identifier when you choose to sign in with Google
- Authentication session tokens to keep you signed in securely
1.2 Financial data you provide or import
- Transactions (amount, date, category, notes, income/expense flags)
- Bank and credit card statement PDFs you upload manually
- Parsed statement metadata (institution, masked account/card numbers, statement periods)
- Investment holdings, insurance policies, budgets, and analytics derived from your data
1.3 Optional Gmail connection (Google API)
If you explicitly choose Connect Gmail in the App, we request read-only Gmail access
(https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly) to:
- Search your mailbox for credit card statement emails with PDF attachments from the last 60 days
- Download those credit card statement PDF attachments into your account only
- Extract due-summary fields from those statements: total amount due, minimum amount due, payment due date, credit limit, and masked card last-four digits
Gmail sync does not currently process bank account statements, investment/CAS statements, or insurance/policy emails.
Those can be added via manual PDF upload or in-app entry. We do not import individual credit card transactions from Gmail-synced statements at this time.
We do not request permission to send, delete, or modify email.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide personal finance reporting, transaction history, budgets, and spending analytics
- Import and categorize transactions from statements you upload manually
- Display credit card due summaries synced optionally from Gmail on the Credit Cards screen
- Maintain your account, preferences, and optional Gmail sync settings
- Respond to support requests and improve App reliability and security
We do not use your data for third-party advertising or sell personal information.
3. Google Gmail Data — Limited Use Disclosure
Minimal Finance's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
- Scope of access: Read-only Gmail access is used solely to detect and download credit card statement PDF attachments from the last 60 days and extract due-summary metadata.
- Credit card emails only (Gmail sync): Gmail processing is limited to credit card statement correspondence — not bank, investment/CAS, insurance, personal, social, or marketing mail.
- Due summaries only: We extract total due, minimum due, due date, and related card identifiers — not individual card transaction line items from Gmail sync.
- No unrelated analysis: We do not use Gmail content to build a general email archive or analyze non-financial messages.
- No transfer for ads: Gmail data is not used for serving ads, sold to data brokers, or transferred to third parties for their independent use.
- No unrelated ML: Gmail data is not used to train generalized machine learning models unrelated to providing features for your account.
- Human access: Human reviewers may access Gmail-derived data only when necessary for security, abuse investigation, legal compliance, or with your explicit consent for support — not for advertising.
- Optional: Gmail connection is not required; manual PDF upload and manual transaction entry remain available.

4. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored in secure cloud databases associated with your user account
- Gmail OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest
- API access requires authenticated sessions; deleted accounts are blocked from login
- We apply access controls so user data is isolated per account
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal or financial information. We may share data only when:
- You direct us to (e.g., exporting your own data)
- Required by law or valid legal process
- Necessary to protect rights, safety, and security of users and the service
- With infrastructure providers (hosting, database) under confidentiality obligations — not for their marketing
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Disconnect Gmail: Profile → Disconnect Gmail (revokes sync; tokens cleared)
- Delete Gmail sync data: Profile → Delete Gmail sync data (removes synced files and credit card due records; keeps connection)
- Delete account: Profile → Delete account (soft-deletes your user record and associated data)
- Manual import: Use PDF upload without connecting Gmail at any time
- Contact us to request access, correction, or additional deletion assistance
7. Data Retention
We retain data while your account is active to provide the service. When you delete your account or disconnect Gmail, we remove or disable access to associated tokens and mark related records deleted. Backup copies may persist for a limited period for disaster recovery and legal compliance.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
